GOCO’s Story

The two founders of GOCO saw a need in the market - a better software for audit management. One of the founders worked as a Program Manager over a military contract for his employer. During this time he was tasked with building the employer’s audit/GRC program from scratch. The employer had contracted with one of the large SaaS security companies, and though MDM and other monitoring was good, the GRC tooling was terrible. After discussing with the InfoSec Director, he realized most security offerings out there treated GRC and audit management as an afterthought and offered half-baked solutions that were overpriced.

This thought slipped his mind until after he ended up leaving the company and started focusing on other endeavors. He recalled this experience and thought this would be a great service to offer security professionals - audit tooling made simple, yet robust.

One of the founders has had a decorated career as a Product Manager, starting in the startup world, then making his way to Microsoft, managing one of the security products under the Azure platform.

The second founder has had a successful career as a software engineer and computer scientist. He began at a startup, then joined one of the FAANG companies, quickly moving his way upward solving deep technical problems.
